Overhauling an Emerald Kingdom NPC who suffered from the ugly stick.  Had one shit of a day so this helped to take the edge off of my anger.
I wish I had started coloring comics back when I first had the chance to do so instead of continuing to work at the store.  All it takes is one big screw-over to sour everything.
Whatevs.

Here’s a quick little sneaker-peeker of one of Emerald Kingdom’s administrative buildings.  This was technically “finished” almost a year ago to the day, but as often happens when you improve your skills and refine a game’s style, what was yesterday’s “finished” is today’s “half-baked”.  I don’t like having to go back and revise things, but in a lot of cases it’s for the best.

I’ve been terrible about posting artwork lately, and even worse about promoting the game I’ve been working on.  BAD me.
The ground, I just painted.  But those trees are straight out of the game.  They’re some of the largest props we’ve got thus far.
I’ll continue to post things as I can, but for now, you can check out the Emerald Kingdom website for a bit more info on what we aim to do with this thing.  It’s gonna be big.
It’s daunting as hell some days, being a bunch of utter nobodies trying to make a huge game like this, but I like it.

There’s been a new update at the Double Cluepon devblog, in which we detail what we’ve been up to over the last couple of months!  It’s been pretty exciting around here with all of the progress we’ve made, so head on over and read up!  Just click on the picture!

Been a lot going on here at the ol’ game company.  Clicky the picture and you can read about it. :)

I haven’t been finishing much art lately.  This is why.  I’ve been working on a lot of stuff for Emerald Kingdom, trying to get things in ship shape so we can give the testers something to do and a place to hang out.
Nothing is really finished in the picture save for the stools and the bench.  I have to send the rest to my art department for painting once I’ve de-genericized most of it.  This was mostly done in a hurry over the last couple of days.
I’m stoked, but I’m tired.
And I’m going the hell to bed.  Good night/day, folks. :)

Trying again, with less redonk tagging this time because what the hell was I doing at 4 am?
This is one of the results of the stream I had late, late last night. She’s getting used in EK, apparently, but her identity will remain relatively secret for now.
In the meantime, check out the Emerald Kingdom site for more info about the game, hey? :D
(Seriously, sorry about the re-post for those of you who have seen this already.)

Some morning crappery before I get cracking on real work today.
Confusia is a character from Emerald Kingdom.  You’re gonna hear me crowing a lot about it in the coming year.
On that note, a belated Happy New Year to everyone.  Here’s hoping we all come through ‘13 in one piece.

Here’s a preview of the set of prints we’ve been working on here and there.  No ETA on when they’ll be finished, especially with the third being so sketchy, but the art director works on them as she can.
Want to see more art?  Drop by our deviantART account!

Still been working on these here and there. As was said, there’s no ETA that I can give except for “soonish”.
Still, I can’t wait to see these printed.

Who’s got guns?
WE’VE GOT GUNS.
Candy-colored, semi-nonfunctional-but-somehow-they’ll-still-work GUNS!
(Translation:  Have some more concept art from Emerald Kingdom.  It’s magically delicious!)

I made these a while ago, but they’re new to the interwebs.  When I made the swords, I tried to keep things at least somewhat stylistically similar.
There’s no way in hell that these guns are probable (Hell, they fire beams instead of slugs) but that’s kind of what I wanted to go for.
We’ve got so many games out there that strive for the utmost realistic detail with their weapon designs, and I wanted to deviate from that.  I’m a huge fan of the Ratchet & Clank series, and all of the weapons you get in those games are unique, colorful and fun.  So I wanted to run with that on a less outlandish scale.
I don’t know that I was terribly successful, but these are only the first of what will be many designs, I’m sure.

Today brings us some fresh weapon concepts, in the form of various swords.

I’m not real great at designing weaponry, but this was an interesting exercise.
